How does a lip flip work?
The lip flip is a cosmetic procedure in which botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle of the upper lip to lift it slightly and make it look fuller. Unlike with a lip filler, no filler material is introduced, so the effect is achieved purely by changing the muscle tension.
When can I see the effect of the lip flip?
The first effects of the lip flip usually appear within two to seven days after the treatment. However, it can take up to two weeks for the full result to become visible.
How long does the lip flip last?
The effect of the lip flip usually lasts around four to eight months; the exact duration depends, among other things, on the patient's individual metabolism and the amount of Botox® used. As the effect fades over time, it is advisable to schedule regular treatments to maintain the effect.
What does a lip flip cost?
A lip flip with Botox® at Aesthetify is available from €200.00. The exact price depends on the individual scope of treatment and will be discussed transparently with you during your personal consultation.
What should I keep in mind after a lip flip?
After the treatment, you should protect the lip, for example by not rubbing or massaging it. The reason: applying pressure can cause the injected active ingredient to “migrate” into other muscle areas and thereby affect the result. This also applies while sleeping, which is why you should, if possible, sleep on your back for at least the first night. It is also best to avoid sport, sauna, intense sunbathing and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours, so that the botulinum toxin can take effect undisturbed.
What is the difference between a lip flip and a lip filler?
With the lip flip, the muscles of the upper lip are relaxed with Botox® so that it appears fuller, without actually increasing the volume of the lip. With a lip filler, on the other hand, hyaluronic acid is injected into the lip tissue to build up volume in a targeted way. Which method suits you therefore depends on the result you want.
Is a lip flip painful?
As the injections are carried out with very fine needles, most patients experience the lip flip as low-pain. On request, we apply a numbing cream beforehand to make the treatment even more comfortable for you.
